I'm sorry I didn't hear from him, but will reach out Monday. I know he'd have contacted me if he had something though.

I just got off the phone with Chris http://ccrsport.com/ and he's definitely moving along. They've had a highly successful product for years, but are constantly evolving. The quest this time around is to go black. The main crossbeam is aluminum and a non-issue. The chocks are metal and he's experimenting with coatings and their ability to withstand some abuse. If things go well, he may have something as early as month's end. I'll try to post an update when I have something new to report.

I know, me too. It's such a PITA tying 2 bikes down without this. You're absolutely welcome to call Chris, I just don't wan't to bug him. I was going to wait until the first of next month.

I just talked to Chris today and he's like 2 weeks away. His challenge is homing in on the black that can take the most abuse.

You bet I'll be all excited when they get here. And I told him he's got a fan base and that with all the rain, the season has been epic. I don't remember the last time I did so much riding.

    Awesome looking racks!!

I don't haul bikes but I need to mount a winch behind the cab of my truck.

Any chance you could delete the two center tie-downs and add a horizontal plate (Gusseted??) to bolt the winch too?

It sounds like you need the bar from a Gen 2 and then just need to build something off of t-blocks slid in the channel.

    I have a 2nd gen Tacoma.

A winch bolted directly to the channel with T-nuts simply wouldn't give me the ridgitidy I need.

This bar would be absolutely ideal with a few slight mods as it would distribute the load over the with of the truck box as well as transferring some load to the sides.

I love cool stuff. CCR Sport Just released a new motorcycle tie down bar that looks factory on the Tacoma. To make it fit factory, add a 57" piece of 1.25" x .25" under it and replace the stock Toyota torx screws with 6 x 40mm stainless buttonhead allens. Even the tie downs are trick. Chris said the price is going up April 1st. http://ccrsport.com/protrack-motorcycle-transport-kit-mid-size/

So are you suppose to replace the entire from track on a tacoma, or this bolts into it?

Well it's universal, and my Gen 3 doesn't come with a front rail (interchangeable with Gen 2), but it should go where the stock rail would be. You drill the holes in this universal rail. I had to add the flatstock to get it to fit like factory. It's super beefy relative to the stocker.

Not sure what you're asking, but I'd recommend either getting some corner bed brackets, doing the front D-ring mod, or getting a bar like this thread advertises. The stock bedrail d-rings aren't that strong and they flex a lot under tension. So you either can't tighten the ratchet too much which could cause an issue when hitting a bump since the bike's suspension can cycle causing the strap to come loose (happen to me and others), or you tighten them down a lot causing the d-ring to flex up and one good bump could cause it to break and your bikes will go flopping around. Not a guarantee that it will happen but I've seen them break, and the possible damage isn't worth the risk.

Can you elaborate on what kind of 1.25" x .25" material you used to shim it? Flat stock metal?

I used aluminum. Industrial Metal Supply sells 6' or 8' sticks. 1.25" x .25" is the PERFECT size. You can't even tell it's there. If you lived near Anaheim Hills, I'd give you the extra piece I bought in case I screwed something up. You're really going to dig the tie down bar.
