does this have ipod capabilities?like out of the box? no extra cords?

 

It comes with a female usb port and usb cable so you can plug in flash drives and usb cords. It has an aux port as well in the back. So if you have either of those compatible wires with your ipod, it'll work perfectly.

 

but like can you try it out to make sure? i have an ipod touch.

What do you mean try it out?? I have no way of powering this without installing it into my car.

 

Do some usb ports not play ipods?

 

Google just told me it works perfectly with ipod software.
