    SOLD.........

I have a Pioneer DEH-P690UB head unit plus a Schoshe dash kit for sale, $100 shipped, also willing to listen to offers. The HU works well, I just replaced it with a P4300. You can find the detailed HU specs here:

    http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P690UB

    Condition
HU - excellent working condition, there is a small scratch on the screen where it rubbed on the shift head while I was installing something. Works great with a USB stick or small disk drive (ensure you use a short USB cable to enable enough power to spin up). Works with an iPod, but I never used an iPOD, just USB stick/drive, so I can't comment on how well the interface works with one.

Dash kit - one of the 4 mounting tabs, see pics, split when I tightened it down too hard. I used a large washer under the bolt to distribute the load and the dash kit worked well for 2 years, with no loosness or squeaking. I also drilled a hole to enable a ScanGuage cable to fit through, see pics. I had my Scanguage velcro'd into the lower pocket. Worked great.
    Notes
    • This is actually a Pioneer Premier DEH-P690UB, there is also a Pioneer DEH-P6900UB, which is the same thing, but when new the 690UB came with an iPod cable and a longer warrantee.
    • No iPod cable is included (I am re-using that)
    • No USB cable included
    • No Tacoma HU wiring kit is included

Someone has to need a good cheap replacement for the factory HU. Only needs a HU wiring kit to be installed easily.

Would I also need an external amp for my factory(non JBL) speakers? What was your setup?

No, you would not be required to have an amp. The HU wiring kit will allow you to easily wire your factory speakers to the HUs power if that's what you want.

My setup was more aftermarket, i.e, I replaced the entire factory setup as I had all the components from my last truck and just re-installed them into the Tacoma. I did run this HU with Dodge Dakota factory speakers for awhile though, definitely an improvement over stock. On the Tacoma, I had that HU, feeding a 4 channel amp, that fed a set of Focal components in the front doors, and a sub behind the rear seats.

What's surprising is no offers or low-ballers.
