FS: Pop & Lock (Power tailgate lock)

FS: Pop & Lock (8520) brand power tailgate lock for '05-09' (without camera) Gen II. Never used and still in box. Comes with installation manual and necessary hardware. SOLD!

 

Amazon got these for $77.82 for the 8521(camera). Glws

 

I have heard that the locks sold at Amazon are actually knockoffs. I learned this the hard way. I suggest buying a pop-n-lock from a trusted vendor!!! If the OP bought this from a trusted vendor then he is offering this for a good price.

 

Does it come with installation amnual?

 

That's a great price for a power lock.you would pay that for a plain handle

What model number is it? Pop and Lock doesn't list one for without a camera on their site. I called and asked them about

PL8521 and they said that is for the camera. Maybe lower the price and you will get someone, I have found them new shipped for around $70

 

The Pop & Lock I have was prior to the new (8521 retails for $103.52 shipped on the Pop & Lock site) which fits both the camera and non-camera tacomas. I have the P&L 8520 which has the electric locking mechanism integrated into the system. The other locks I believe you're referring to, the $70 price range, are the manual locking ones. If I were to lower the price any, I would be selling for a loss.

Use the tacomaworld discount code "tacoma10" and it becomes $71.09 with free shipping. I just called P&L and the older style pl8520 is for 05-08 no camera, and the pl8521 is for 05-11 with or without camera.

 

You've obviously done the research and I can appreciate that. If you would like the P&L that I'm selling, I will honor the price of $71.09 that you quoted. As a side note, I purchased the lock and waited 5 months because of back order problems. I'm not sure if this problem still remains, but wanted to give you the heads up if you go elsewhere.
