There will be 3 configurations of this bracket on the next release.
    (1) After a test fit with a license plate, disassembled (model QF-2), identical to the original 20, shipped free by USPS First Class mail, for $30.99, (2) Assembled (model QF-2A) , test fit with a license plate and shipped free by USPS Priority mail for an additional $3 and (3) Heavy Duty thicker upper and lower plates, fully assembled (model QF-2X), test fit with a license plate and shipped free by USPS Priority mail for an additional $4.50.
    (1) requires user assembly roughly 15 minutes (2) & (3) are a simple 5 minute swap.
UPDATE only releasing 20-25 of the originals (QF-2) initially hopefully by Sunday with more released later

Wanted to give you an update. Thanksgiving is slowing me down but I am trying to put 20 or more on ebay roughly Sunday night. Will pm those that inquired first before posting the ad. I will also have more in another week or so.

Have enough parts machined and fitted to build 22 brackets for now. Should get them all drilled, countersunk and tapped and up for sale by the end of the weekend. The remaining 13 should be done by the end of next week.
EDIT-due to the holiday, with family in town all weekend, these have been shelved until the Dec 2nd weekend. I apologize for the delay. Between family, babysitting and dogsitting I have had no time to work this weekend.

I apologize for the delay in releasing the new batch. The Thanksgiving weekend turned out to be much busier than expected. I had hoped to have a couple of free days to work but it just did not work out that way. Today I need to catch up on bagging leaves and preparing for Christmas decorating. I would rather take another week to get these done without rushing and forcing myself to make mistakes. I really focus on quality so time is not the top priority. Thanks for your patience.

I like your original, single bar bracket and it has been fine when run through a touchless carwash, but I brought my Tacoma into the dealer for some service and before I could get a word in edgewise (to tell them not to wash it or let me take the plate off at least) they took it away and ran it through their carwash, which uses brushes. Of course my license plate got bent because of it... =(

So I'm debating about getting the full plate mount just to avoid that in the future, even though I really like the simplicity and look of the original. The full would help avoid any bending due to carwash and anything else that would snag on the bottom and bend it over. When did you think the regular QF-2 will go up for sale again?

What is the heavier duty version for (QF-2X)? Did some people feel it wasn't heavy duty enough? Seems like you wouldn't want too much weight on just those two screws into the front bumper.

I had no complaints on the original full sized bracket. I am making more now. I just have some of the more expensive 3/16" material I planned on using to make a heavier version. That is the tentative plan. I think I can cut deeper grooves in that material that will take some weight off. I think I am my worse competition. Since releasing the full version it has killed sales of the smaller version thus excess higher priced 3/16" material is collecting dust. Personally I still have the small single bar on my truck but I know my car wash uses brushes so I just remove my plate. I made the mistake of going through once and learned my lesson. I was lucky that it was a minor bend and an easy fix. Others have said the full bracket is ok in the car wash. At some point I may change mine to the full sized but I do like the minimum weight of the basic bracket.

I have been slowly working on these and came to a new conclusion. Since I am assembling each bracket and test fitting on a license plate it makes more sense, and saves me double the work, to simply ship these fully assembled (QF-2A). The shipping is more expensive by $3, however, when received you simply open the package and install the 2 mounting screws and rubber isolators. 5 minute bracket swap. So for the immediate future I will be shipping these fully assembled by USPS Priority mail for $33.99. I still believe this is a good value and I hope the new price is not a deal breaker. Please feel free to chime in and let me know how you feel. To me it makes more sense and I will put bubble wrap in the packages. Personally I would rather go buy a chair from a furniture store, pay just a little more, than to buy an IKEA chair and have to assemble it.

Will be posting ebay ad by late Friday 11/30/18 or early Saturday 12/01/18. Piece parts are all finished machined and tapped. Tomorrow I will start deburring the sharp edges and polishing and will start assembling Thursday night. Releasing at least 20 this week. I have material for another 15-20 in various stages of machining to be released in another 10 days or so.

1st assembly, 2nd batch, as test fit with my best available undamaged license plate. Note the plate screws are screwed in from the back side. Laid the plate on it. Perfect fit. Every one is manufactured to identical specs. I plan on having at least 12 brackets polished, assembled and test fit tonight. May be available for purchase tomorrow night 11/29/18. Just want to get as many complete before I start selling these.

The grooves are cut to +/-0.001" for a precision fit at assembly. The fit is so tight that they hold together before assembly screws are installed. Every piece is machined to strict tolerances. I take pride in my work and will not sell something that does not meet my personal quality standards. The fit has been substantially improved with the second production run. Each assembly is completely hand fit prior to assembly. This is why I prefer selling them fully assembled. The brackets that I will sell disassembled will have wider grooves so buyers will not have to wrestle with the tight fits. For the record I have spent 40 years in machine shops and quality assurance.

I was able to get one of the full size brackets from the first run and it looks way better than the dealer installed "box". Very sturdy too.
