Thanks man. Sent you a message through ebay. I recall we both bought our faux pro grilles at the same time. Mine still looks like new.

read your message and I will be sure to spread the word about your product. And yes tacomas here are nuts so many. It’s not uncommon to see 5-6 tacomas at an intersection.

Really happy with the fit and finish of the product. I received it in the mail really quick too. You have fast shipping Steve. It matched perfectly to the holes from the dealer plastic garbage. You can even see I had dirt and pollen stuck under the old plastic bracket.

Yes mine was pretty nasty under there too. Did you have any wear grooves in your bumper like I did.

Not that I could tell. I will give it a wash tomorrow and really clean it up and have a better look at the paint. I did have indents in the black portion of the bumper from the plastic frame. It left plus signs from really tight screws. They should have put rubber grommets on like you provide in your kit. It could have saved it.

Yes Toyota could have put protection under that bracket for pennies too. I guess nobody considered or cared what it looks like underneath the bracket. Out of sight out of mind thing.

True, Toyota dropped the ball with that one. Maybe Toyota should just buy from you from the start then they can continue not to think about it but get the correct product on. Thanks to you and your quality inspector for this great product!

I love the look of the bracket and how clean it looks. I have 1 thing holding me back from purchasing. In the winter I will take the truck through an automated wash to remove salt. Do you think the bottom of the plate is vulnerable to getting caught on the brushes/rollers at the car wash? I just don’t want my plate getting too beat up and twisted. Thanks!

Valid question. Noted on instruction sheet:

"If you use drive thru car washes I strongly suggest removing the front plate with a flat screwdriver or a coin before going through the wash. I cannot guarantee that the exposed plate will not be damaged by the aggressive agitators in the car wash. This is a very minor inconvenience but is better than standing in line at DMV to get another plate."

I am handicapped and use a drive through car wash approximately every 6 weeks. I keep a penny in my console tray for this.

There is another member that makes a different style bracket that may offer better protection for car washes. Before buying mine you may want to look at that option. I think most members hand wash their trucks so they do not have this concern. For someone that uses drive thru washes frequently then it is a legitimate concern. As ugly as the stock bracket appears it does offer better plate protection for particular circumstances. For me it is in my routine to take a minute to pop off my plate before I get in line at the car wash. I have vanity plates so I am probably more cautious than most people. That is why the instructions include the warning. Thanks.

I only have one on hand that was cut short at the mill. It will function fine and looks fine except for a cut mark on the very end. It will be hidden behind the plate anyway. I will sell that one for $12.99 (pay $15.99 on ebay and I will put 3x $1 bills in the envelope as a rebate). That one will have black nylon screws to secure the license plate and stainless screws for attaching the bracket. If anyone is interested in that one then pm me before you purchase it.

The next 50 should be ready to ship by Thursday evening. Thanks.
