Before I start making the next batch any feedback, changes or suggestions to the current design would be welcomed.

Toying around with ideas to eliminate the blocks protruding behind the seat brackets. Any thoughts or feedback. The angles will be a lot more work but they def are more appealing to the eyes.
pic 1 is original. pic 2 is shortened. pic 3 is with angles cut.

I like that idea. I’m a couple days into the spacers, thinking I would like a little rearward tilt. Have you considered a 1/2 or 3/4 option?

I had considered it but it seems to be less demand. The material I ordered this run will be 1". If I made the simple round ones it would be much easier to offer different heights. It is very simple to change lengths when you part off round stock in a lathe. There is a ton of profit cutting cheaper round stock in a lathe. I could make a pair any length in 6 minutes and $2.50 of material if I had a lathe. Since I do everything on a manual milling machine it is much more labor. I may do this the next time I order material but too late for this next batch.

I may be interested in a pair. Are they still available? Will a Gen 2 (with rounded edges) be available soon?

All that I make fit both 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas. Once I get the material all sawed up I will start machining them. The first step will be machining the widths and heights. Then I will start by making them all as shown in pic 2 above. Then I will see how much work/time is involved in cutting the angles as shown in pic 3. It will probably be at least 10 days before I get to a point of polishing and shipping. I like the look with the angles. I just don't want to commit to a ton of extra labor until I get to the point of testing that process. I work a full time day job and this is my night and weekend work done at home. Most importantly I do not want to increase the current prices due to a lot of extra labor. I may try cutting the angles with my chop saw to cut down on labor time. The way that the plastic covers work on the seat anchors I just don't know if the angles will serve any real purpose as they will be covered and mostly hidden with floor mats and floor liners. That is why your input is important to me. The function is the same no matter the profile. All input or feedback is appreciated and is weighed in my decisions.

I see what you mean about the cut angles not doing anything since the plastic covers hide it.

If you have any left, send me a PM. Otherwise once you finish up some more send me a PM and i’ll take a set.

I couldnt find them on ebay, so im guessing you are out.

I only made 33 pairs initially and they did all sell. When I have more ready I will post updates here and in the 3rd gen site. I will most likely post some on ebay too but they are higher there. This is the place to get the cheap price.

Managed to cut around 50 pair on the saw today before the rain started. I guess I will just have a 50 pair run this time.

Ran the saw in the yard. Better be wearing shoes back there for a while.
