FS: Rear Seat Delete Deck for 3rd Gen Double Cab Tacomas (Double Cab and Access Cab)

apparently this seat delete should fit a gen 2 with no issues. i just dont know anyone with a gen 2, or any gen 2 owners that want to take the gamble.... if youre up for figuring something out in the event it doesn't fit, let me know.

 

Very nice. I have a AC Gen2 with a Goose Gear on both sides. One of my issues is that I can't get to the 4 'cubbies' when I've got my fridge and everything in the back seat. Have you thought about customizing it so you could have access on the sides?

 

Just wanted to bump this as I saw @RippNSh!t recently lost his dog. Sorry bro.

I had one of the first of his rear seats deletes. Mainly got it for my dog to have more room, but my girlfriend (well ex now) has slept back there too.

I did the standard build out, topped with raptor liner, underside covered with Noico.

I took a Walmart 4” memory foam bed topper and cut it down to size. Had a local sewing lady take an old sheet and turn it into a huge pillow case. Dog loves it!

 

WOW this looks great, I have an access cab and have cobbled together a few crappy versions of platforms for my dogs the last few years that are doable but not great ... but this is perfect and I will definitely be wanting to buy this when I'm ready!

 

When we were going through the recent ordeal of losing our pup, my wife and I ended up sleeping for a few hours in the back cab of my truck on top of my rear seat delete. We dropped our pup off at emergency at 8pm and ended up waiting until 5am for the the results of the Vet's evaluation of our dog Ferdinand. It was an uncomfortable snooze, mainly because we had no idea what was going on with our dog and also because we didn't have any padding between us and the seat delete. The seat delete held up with no stress and allowed us both to get some much needed sleep. I would love to report, that it all worked out in the end, but sadly, we had to lay Ferdinand to rest a few long days later. I am happy that the seat delete supported us when needed, during a time when it felt like every other system was a total let down.

I bet a 4" memory foam topper makes the laying back there pretty sweet!

 

I have thought of this and i know how to do it but i think it makes the DIY aspect a little more intense, leaving room for more errors and questions. I think if someone truly wanted a side access on this design, one could easily modify this design to suit their needs.
