I started building a rear storage and sleeper platform for my Tacoma but now have gone a different route (RTT). The unit is not complete but I am willing to let it go as is and the new owner can save money and finish it how they would like. I'm just looking to recoup some of the money on the unit. The following are some spec's on the unit.
    • 3/4 square steel tubing all MIG-welded
    • Steel tubing units bolt together to allow for easy removal and installation
    • The front is shaped to still allow access to both cubbies and power outlet
    • Threaded rod with sealed bearings welded top and bottom to act as sliders for drawers
    • Two (2) drawers both made out of 1/2" sides and 1/4" base 100% marine grade plywood. One still needs to be assembled.
    • Extremely strong and allows for maximum use of space.
$200 FIRM for the steel frame and two drawers. I have way more into this but I'm moving and don't want to take this with me.

I will not ship, pick up only on Long Island, NY

@mkivr32 what did you use to attach the bearings to the frame? Would you mind if I borrowed your design? I am buying some 1x1 14ga metal tubing tomorrow to attempt something like this. What is the weight?

It looks like welded threaded rod, with nuts.

well let me as if you sell the cap which would make your asking price lower if you can recap funds on the cap.

I live in Naugatuck, Ct... willing to meet me half way around the CT/NY state line? Guess on the weight of the frame? Do you have the extra plywood needing to complete?

Don’t have the weight but it’s reasonable. I can lift the frame by myself without an issue. I only have the wood for the drawers. I would rather not have to travel, tolls aren’t cheap. I am close by the Port Jeff ferry or could meet you out in Nassau near Garden City. Let me know if you’re interested.
