What would change your mind on shipping?

 

To be honest I'm just not familiar with the process. I understand that it can only go to an FFL and that there are some carrier restrictions. Beyond that I'm not sure what risks a shipped transaction carries for me as the seller so I'm reluctant to go that route.

 

It’s not bad at all. Buyer pays you then goes to his Ffl with two type of ID. You go to your FFL and they do the rest including shipping. Buyer then has to pass a background check and that is it. it covers you as the FFL people are doing it. Usually the buyer pays $25.00 or so shipping.

 

I've been looking at shipmygun.com (https://www.shipmygun.com/go/index.php) which looks pretty damn good. If I do decide to ship I will probably go this route as I won't need to involve my FFL so I save a trip.

My main concern is buyers remorse when it ships. I've seen it happen at my FFL when a guy refused to take ownership of a brand new gun and had it return shipped to the dealer. He tried to say the gun had issues but eventually just admitted that he changed his mind. I don't exactly have a restocking fee policy and don't want to deal with the hassle that would result with paypal, etc. F2F cash is one and done.

Also shipping is easy and in most cases you the seller don't have to go to your FFL to ship. As long as the receivers FFL will accept from an individual. They usually just ask you put a copy of your drivers license in the package.

 

That's a nice gun but I'm not really a revolver guy.

I appreciate the info on shipping. After looking at it some more I would consider it for the right buyer/offer.

Why can't you?

I know California has restrictive regulations, but I also saw a picture of a firearms store in L.A. with lines wrapped around the building. I'm unfamiliar and really don't know what you can and cannot do there.

 

CA has a handgun roster. Only guns that are considered “safe” by the CA DOJ are allowed to be sold here.
There’s more to it but it’s political territory and I don’t want to upset the mods again.

I hope you sell it soon. That’s a great pistol.
