    SOLD!

I originally bought these to go with my lift, but found that I didn't really need them for my application. Everything is new in the box. I just removed things from the plastic to take photos. I also have these posted on my local craigslist. I prefer not to ship, but will at the buyers expense. I'm located in San Mateo (San Francisco Bay Area)

How old are these? Are they the updated version that fixed the cracking problem or original style?

I’m not sure. I bought it about 3 years ago. Is there a way I can check - maybe on the casting or something?

I’m not sure that the arms actually changed, but they’ve changed the bushings a few times. Think the first version was a softer bushing (maybe rubber) that was similar to stock, then their “spec ride” bushings (which look like the version you have) that are a proprietary poly, now they use “xAxis” joints which are like heim joints encased in a rubber isolator. The joints alone are over $250, hence the price increase...

Nope, there was a design change to the arms. I think the later ones have forged arms not the round ones. Just asking, that's all, not trying to cause any issues for the sale. I searched and found this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/spc-control-arm-snapped.442210/#post-12862912

GLWS - I'll back out now

I don’t want to dirty up this for sale thread, but I’m pretty sure the damage to the arm in the link you attached was due to the original style bushing. They were rubber and bound up if not tightened properly (I.e. they were torqued with the suspension at droop with no weight on the arms, causing a ton of preload at the bushing). The bushings didn’t allow the arms to pivot on the bolt, and transferred what should be movement in the bushing into lateral stress at the arm causing them to fail.

I didn’t catch the fact that these are tubular and the new ones are forged.

With that said, their website states this about the newest bushings.

“Note: This kit requires access to a shop press to install. These bushings will only fit arms from mid-2013 and newer.”

This was around the time that they changed to the poly bushings, which suggests there is at the very least some difference with the bushing mounts. Wonder when they changed from tubular to forged?

Is there a number on the packaging somewhere or stamped on the UCA starting with a 254? If so can you post that number?

    Never mind I can see it’s 25470
