Vader is drying right now, and as for an update to tis thread, I'll not be taking any more orders at this point and time. I may pick this up again in the future but its honestly not worth the hassle. I do apologize for those of you have waited patiently for the duration, my hope is to finish out my current batch as quick as possible and get them out so I can move forward with my many other projects.

Been in a career transition for about a month now amongst starting my own business and maintaining my two current ones(wife and I run two hair salons). These are just small enough to get lost in the shuffle of a very busy day to day and I don't want people waiting as long as they have for these. It was my fault for taking orders ahead of time. Should have just sold as I finished them which I hereby vow to do moving forward. The dilemma I ran into with that was not knowing if folks had manuals or autos do I didn't want to shoot myself in the foot and make an auto yoda and them be stuck with it cause the one guy who wants a yoda has a manual.

Anyway, that's where I'm at. I leave for a week starting tomorrow morning to go get my now-annual moose :) so when I return I shall update again.

Again, my sincere apologies to those who've waited. I can still say with complete honesty you'll get a great product, it's just a matter of when.

Yea I know. It's almost like people want to get compensated for their time and work.

My last business failed b/c I charged customers my exact cost. Not sure why. My orders were consistent, but I still kept going deeper into the hole.

No worries, I'm an entrepreneur, I have the greatest idea for my next business. I'll charge less then it cost me. Orders are going to be through the roof!!!

You mean people really should get paid for knowing how to do something? Plus their tools and materials? And skills in hand painting things? Man that's some craziness you saying! Hahaha!

    Just kidding..and totally agreed.

I got one of the first run knobs, still love it. Thing is still in perfect shape and none of the paint has chipped off. This is a quality product and well worth the coin.

Cant apologize enough guys, as I said these take just enough time to make it really difficult to get them going with a one year old and a full time job in ministry. Honestly every time an order came in my first reaction was 'aw crap' haha.

Not the way i intended for this to go. There will be a new guy making these out of hawaii in the near future once he gets set up for it. Im right in the middle of a big career change that frees me up a little bit more witha more regimented schedule, right now im salary and in ministry, and to put that into perspective it means i go in to work 8-6 and am called out to emergency meetings, funerals, suicide preventions, and board gatherings and events constantly.

I just finished up a week of several job interviews, even more tests for those jobs, and organizing a huge shipment of bumpers so next week can't come soon enough. I have nothing slated at this point in the evenings which I did intentionally so that I could get these done. The guys that paid in June haven't even waited longer than others which in my mind, is just plain wrong. You guys have been more tgan patient with me and I can't tell ya enough how much I appreciate it. I know its an annoyance to have 60 bucks hanging out there with nothing to show for it so I hope to rectify it as soon as I can. Just pray no one i knw tries to kill themself.

And to put myself out there a bit, in your guys' opinion, what can I do based on where we're at now, that would redeem this purchase? What would make it fair at this point, so to speak

Aloha gang! I'm the guy Ben is referring to about producing the Storm Trooper Knobs. I don't want to hijack this thread by promoting anything but I just thought that I should chime in as I've had correspondence with Ben and I'd like to pick up where he left off. He's come up with a great product and we both feel it should be available to more people. I'm currently in the process of collecting materials and building a prototype that would be sufficient for retail exposure.
Since I just bought my Tacoma two weeks ago, and just joined this forum, I can understand that some folks might be cautious about purchasing when these are finally ready. ( Probably within a month ). I will eventually do all business through PayPal and provide tracking information as well. My E-Bay User ID is Puakea50 and I've never had a blemish on my record.
I would like to thank Ben for his assistance in keeping this alive as I would not be able to do this without this counsel.
If you would like one of these Trooper knobs, PM me. As I stated earlier, I am not set up at this time and am just acquiring materials. But dependent on demand, I may have to adjust my orders. This is by no means an offer to sell anything at this time. If I get 10 people interested, I'll build accordingly when the prototype is complete. I'll start to compile a list of interested buyers, and when a perfected batch is complete, I will begin selling to those individuals that expressed interest.
    Mahalo Nui Loa!!!

I'd say it would make it fair at this point to stop making excuses and get these things made up and shipped out.
