FS: TRD Tacoma LSD out of 05 Tacoma

I have a factory TRD mechanical LSD out of an 05 Tacoma TRD Sport. I replaced it with a full locker and would like to recoup some of my dollars.
$200/obo
Utah gets dibs, but will ship if need to.
Will fit in any 8.4 rear end - 00-06 Tundra, all T100, 05+ Tacoma (won't fit TRD Off Road)

No 3rd member, no ring gear, just the LSD

 

So all I have to do is put in my axle?

Ummm. Sure. You'll have to bolt your ring gear to it, and put it back in the third member

 

I know this is a funny question but would this fit in my 2010 trd sport? the reason im wondering is i have the auto lsd but get so pissed when only one back tire spins! just a question iv been wondering for about a year but never asked

Yes but not an easy bolt on unless you know how to set backladh and gear pattern.

Good deal. I have one from a 2005 tundra in my truck. But i went with the coplete 3rd with 3.9 gears

Surething. Its one of those jobs that seems like everything is fine for a few hundred miles and then boom your rearend eats itself. Should be able to find a shop that will put it in for about 200.00 but you'll need a rebuild kit too.

 

I want this badly, I dont think I can make it happen though. What is the rebuild kit?

 

New bearing, ring gear bolts and some other stuff.

 

I have a buddy that has a mechanical LSD third member with 3.73 gears. I'm not sure what he wants for it, but I can ask.. You won't need to install anything additional. Would be just pop axles out, remove third, install new, pop in axles and go.. (add gear oil of course)

i would. i believe it should fit my prerunner 8.4 open diff. if he iisnt interested i am. was gonna spend on on lockers but seems like this could work for me.

I'll talk to him tomorrow.. Last I heard, ballpark was $450-$500 for the complete LSD third with 3.73 gears... I'll post tomorrow after I talk to him.

yea im in 79707. if it not too bad with shipping it seems like i can prob grt it if not i might go with auburn lsd. thanks though man lets see what your friend says im really interested.

 

Looking about $500 shipped. I got him to $400 on the diff.. Shipping is right around $90 for ground... I'll weigh it, package it, and send the change back with the shipping receipt. I can get it out to you before the weekend if you want to pull the trigger.
