Oooooooo  What is your opinion on the two? I like the warm but some people say it puts out a little less light than the cool. I can't really tell.

They are equally bright, both are the 5050 LED's.

    This is my opion:
Cool white is 6k, crisp white color (looks like HID headlights)

warm white is 4k, sun light color (looks like halogen headlights)

    PM's sent.

I am all caught up and have enough lighting to make 2 cool white and 2 warm white kits.

Stoked to get mines yesterday. Gonna install this weekend. For those of you shipping to HI, it's an extra $5, and it took about a week to get to me. Also props to Matt on the packaging, everything was super safe, well-padded, and ready for the USPS abuse it likely took on it's way here. Safe arrival should not be on your guys list of concerns.

Where is everyone mounting the switch? This looks like a cool mod...

Here are the two recommended locations to mount the switch. The small cubby is the best location (IMO).

Is routing it into the cab also an option?

Yes switch in the cab can be done.

Wireless remote with dimmer is another option, although I have to test them before I will sell any.

I installed mine about two weeks ago - here are a few pictures for anyone interested.

Plenty of light, easy to install. I added extra adhesive just to be safe, and put the switch inside the cubby hole.

I already had a rocker switch in my cab for Rigid LED backup lights. They were set up to come on anytime the truck is in reverse as well as using the switch that cuts them on whenever (great for drivers tailgating/high beams). What I did is just tapped into the power going to Rigids, now both ground lights and bed lights when I hit the switch, very happy with the setup.

What's in the bed of your truck? Some kind of bed mat or something?

Got my kit in a couple of weeks ago, and finally put the lights in this past weekend with the help of a friend. I'm very pleased with it, I wish I purchased it months ago!

I was a bit nervous to install it as I know nothing about electricity, installation was pretty easy. The only difficultly was figuring out where to run the power wire from the truck bed to the fuse box, as I don't have the electrical outlet in the bed so I couldn't follow those wires.

Running the power wire just took a little time crawling under the truck to plan out the route we wanted to take. We ended up following, what I think is the tail-light wires, along the frame, into the cab, then through the firewall to the fuse box.

Total install time was about 2.5 hours, of us taking our time to make sure we did everything right. People that have a bit more experience doing this would be able to knock it out much quicker than we did.

I'm very happy with the purchase, thanks Matt!
