Awesome service by Matt! Ordered my cool white with remote late Monday night... Lights were on my doorstep Thursday after work! Meant to get them installed Sunday but the weather had other plans.

Well thought out kit with easy to follow directions. Hope to get them installed one day after work this week.

    Thanks again Matt!

Installed mine today... Running that wire to front was a pain!

Got everything hooked up, put the fuse in, and the lights started flickering.

Thought I had a bad connection or bad ground... Then I looked at the bed switch and it was off. Apparently the remote was set on party mode hahaha!

Figured out the remote and everything is working like it should...

    20150606_152347.jpg 20150606_152407.jpg

Ordered my warm white kit early this this week. Passed on the remote, as all I need is the function of off or on. Arrived in a couple of days, installed today. Really nice kit.

My truck being base offered a bit of a challenge for switch placement, as I don't have the power outlet type pocket. And I didn't want to put the switch in a pocket, because I do carry stuff in them (so can't leave the door off) and I didn't want to have to move the door every time I wanted to use the lights.

Also, I wanted the switch on the left side, meaning for me it might make more sense to run the power wire down the left side of the truck.

Different than the instructions, but that's the kind of guy I am :p So my 'alterations' of steps/installation is something like this............

Pulled left taillight, determined possible non interfering location for switch to mount.

Examined chassis to determine wire pulling difficulty. Used an electrician fishtape to work the power wire past the fuel tank, roughed the power feed into position before starting to mount the LEDs so I knew I could do it no problem (you have to reverse the LED mounting from the instructions to get the harness on the DS if doing this)

    Installed LEDs

Picked a location to mount switch that would miss the sheet metal bracing behind the taillight and have room for the switch to sit flush (inside) and yet have the toggle in a good position in the bed.

Drilled hole and mounted switch. If you do this you'll need a rattail to smooth the sheet metal so there are no burrs in the hole.

Behind the taillight you'll find captive nuts with bed small bed bolts run through them from under the truck. I found a nut that fit and used one of these as my grounding point. Worked great. Everything on that end of the truck is nice and tidy behind the taillight.

Underhood, just brought power wire up and zipped it off to a couple convenient places, and brought it in the bottom of the power box. You have to look hard to find the wire. The casual observer will never notice it.

I have installed the water proof cover. Left off for the photos so it would contrast more for those interested in location. I also have a bed cover.

I also positioned the switch so that if I find a 'hoop' type fitting I can mount as a no bump guard that it will be easy to do. I'll be looking for something in stainless.

Great kit Matt. More pieces than needed, good instructions, nicely packaged. Thanks!
