    Not sure if this helps but I have the bed stiffener brackets and this is where I mounted my switch...

    Thats the '1st option' mounting location...Im talking about the other one up higher. On my Cali-raised bedsides, i think they wrap around where the switch would go.

    Started my install yesterday and had a couple of questions for you all:

    My dumbass ripped the rubber cap on the switch. Anyone know where I can get a replacement?

    Also, I've followed the wiring harness all the way to the firewall under the driver side door. Do I need to follow it into the cab and then into the engine compartment or can I run it underneath and then up and into the engine compartment?

    Any advice would be much appreciated!

    I ran mine up through the grommet under the cab, over to the driver door and then under the kick panel, then through the firewall. Then I ziptied it to all the factory loom along the frame rails. Have had it for 3+ years like that with no issues
