    Ended up mounting the switch in the cubby this time, as my SR5 doesn’t have the AC plug-in.

    switch is very waterproof. Washed my truck many times and it’s sat in rain for plenty days. Nothing to worry about. And if a problem occurred, I’m sure @mattgecko would take care of you.

    Just ordered.

    Still deciding if I'll mount under the rail or on the carpeted canopy. Can you elaborate on how "simply add velcro" works? Assume first peel off sticky tape. How wide are these strips so that I can get the right size velcro.

    The "loop" side of velcro will attach to the the carpeted camper shell. The light strips are 10mm wide so you can get 2 strips on each piece of standard size velcro.
