The Voodoo bars work great but no, since it's a tri-fold aluminum cover it cannot be opened with the tent on the truck. I have a hoist mounted on my garage ceiling that I use to lift and store the RTT when I'm not using it. I still use the bed for storage when camping with the tent, however. A 6' long hooked pole is all that's needed to manage cargo.

Drove across South Dakota this last weekend with a pretty heavy headwind averaging a computer 11mpg (not corrected for E rated 255x85x16 tires) at 70mph. Didn't buy this truck for MPG's and I wouldn't give up the compactness that makes parking and everyday living such a breeze.

Keeping the RTT as close to flush with the cab is the best option to cut the drag down. I had an allpro bedrack that was flush with the top of cab and then the RTT above the cab this was the worst the drag was just terrible , the allpro was gone after about a week! Changed to a BAMF Expo bar setup works great!
