My '96 lock is broken and I don't like the lock anyway. Problem is it flaps around.

Is there a spring I can replace? Should I buy the 03 door that has no lock? If so how does that one stay shut?

Or should I just do the magnet mod?

I bought some 12mmx3mm magnets and a 1.6" stainless drawer finger puller thingie

    Removed the fuel door
    [IMG]

Threw some magnets (3 on each) on the filler neck screws, closed and opened the fuel door (they come off like in the pic) marked around them, cleaned, and epoxied the magnets in place
    [IMG]

Cut out the key hole for the handle thing (just about to the inner circle where the bevel ends, and threw some black paint on it)

put some silicone around the handle
    [IMG]

et voila! Shuts securely and is easy to open

Looks good! Definitely unique compared to just sticking a 2001-2004 door instead.

    Hoy pare, paano ang Pinakbet?
