Well fuel door hinge is at it again. Now after bumps in the road the door pops open. The hinge at bottom is so rusty I am almost afraid to pull on it again to get it to open and close properly.

Truck is great but what an inferior design by Toyota.

Any fixes or aftermarket pieces to replace this? Or is it a trip to the dealer again?

I currently have the same problem on my 2010, but the bottom hinge has completely rusted off. Looking for a solution to either replace or repair the fuel door. Looks like I might be without one pretty soon as it is barely hanging on.

Bumping this so that I don't start yet another thread about the shitty fuel door hinge. My bottom hinge just snapped, how exactly do I take the door and hinge off so I can tig weld it?
Or does anyone here know where I can get a painted magnetic gray fuel door assembly in Ontario, Canada?
