    Actually lubricants aren’t the ultimate answer. They can treat the symptoms temporarily but what you need to do is determine the cause of the problem and repair, modify or replace. I’ve never heard of anybody with the problem you are having but it sounds like something is bent or damaged in some way and needs to be corrected.

    Use WD-40. No, it's not a lubricant but it's better than nothing and works well in this application.
    Spray it, exercise it, wipe off the excess and repeat a couple of times per year.
