Math and chemistry and physics are fun. I wish I had majored in something with more of it. Oh well, that what I get for going the criminal justice route lol

So you are saying that a larger sized container will always hold more gas than a smaller sized container?

I enjoy the Math and Physics, I'm a Civil Engineering major at the moment and I'm having flash backs to chemistry... Not my favorite subject

Nope. I wouldn't have enough information to make that determination.

You said that you can't measure the volume of air though. Point blank. No explanation. So.... are you saying that if I know the dimensions of a container I don't know the VOLUME of air in the container.... Now do you see why it's funny.

Larger volume, lower pressure and density

I liked it til I got to organic chemistry because there was practically no math involved in that class

But is the volume of gas in my 18 gallon tank going to take me as far in my 16' as the same volume of gas in a 18 gallon tank in a 15?

    this is the question.

Organic chemistry is straight memorization. Shitty if you can't remember exact names and figures but great for your GPA if you can.

Inorganic chemistry is a better blend of math, physics, and good ole fashioned memorization. A much better combination for most people.

    SHHH! Bro! The unspoken rule!
Once we make it out of there, we never need to speak of it again.

    I don't need the flash backs:annoyed:

I didn't say you can't measure the volume of air, I said you can't measure air in volume. Im trying to point out that an engine runs in a vacuum an so a 4.0L engine doesn't necessarily pull/push more air than a 3.5L engine.

Yes it is. The volume of the liquid in it will change with temperature, the vapor pressure of that batch of fuel, your wallet, distance traveled, how heavy your ass is, how heavy your moms ass is when you give her a ride, etc etc. :D

But does it have to carry the amount of bullshit in this forum?
Because I think that makes the major difference.

    YES YOU CAN.

    ARG.

You can tell the volume from the dimensions of space it occupies. What you can't tell is how many moles of air is there without the other factors. GET IT YET?

It's funny because you made a blank comment that you can't know the volume air occupies when you know the dimensions of the container. It's funny bro. If you wanted your comment to come off scientifically accurate, you could of simply said you can't measure the mass of air, and thus the amount of oxygen available for combustion, in the cylinder without knowing more than it's volume.

Well you can't measure gasoline by volume in gallons.

St. Andrew, I'm just ripping on you. Not being an ass.
Chemistry is all but a blurr to me.

You would have to start measuring in gallons per mile for that
