Unmodded 2016 Tacoma TRD OR access cab, roughly 18.5mpg (15l/100km) in the dead of winter. Most of my driving is town driving, not a lot of start and stop unless people get stupid and scared of the snow. Some highway because of how our town is set up so I can't in good faith call it city driving by any stretch, 75000 people doesn't really count as more than a town.
EDIT: Roughly 21-22mpg in same conditions when it warms up, true highway (100-110km/hr) I'll see about 26.5mpg with the stock GY Wranglers. Hoping to upgrade to some Cooper ST MAXX this spring.

Everyone needs to understand MPG is like anything you measure on a car, there is an approximately normal distribution of results. Some people will get more, some will get less, but MANY will get about what the manufacturer states.

Getting 18 mpg in the winter with hard shell and -12 offset Ray 10s, but stock tires.

In the temperate climate yet hilly terrain north of Seattle, my Fuelly average MPG for the past 25K miles is 23.2. A bone stock 2016 TRD Sport.

Edited to add: most of my miles are relatively flat freeway miles driving 13 miles on the freeway (out of a 19.3 mile total trip) to and from the train station for my work commute. I recently got a OBD scanner, and for the past few mornings at 37 degree temps, I am getting real time MPG readings of 25 and 26 MPG at 60 MPH for the trip. When I am climbing up the hills back home, my real time MPG reading is around 12-15 MPG. 35-42 real time MPG coasting down the hills in the morning.

2019 TRD Off Road with manual transmission. Central Florida, so warm temps. Commuting to work, about 70% highway and 30% city.

Average between 20.5-21.5 depending on the week and traffic.

I get 18-19 with ARB aluminum skids, Avid Steel sliders, and Avid front bumper guard. Not too much weight after that.

I average ~22 because of all the stop and go. When I was working in the field I was hitting around 27/28 because I commuted at 4am/1pm every day. Only mods are Method NV 305's and 245/75/16 Wildpeak AT3's

I hear you there. My 455 horsepower Camaro got better mpg than this truck. Still okay with trading in the Camaro on the Tacoma as it’s way more practical with 2 kids.

Pardon my dust. Coming back from Daytona yesterday. Stock except for Toyo Open Country AT2 265/65-17 tires. Cruise was set at 76, but a car was in front of me, and slowed me down to 71.

Actually cold air will hurt mpg as the PCM will add more fuel to the more dense air to maintain the stoichiometric air fuel ratio of 14.7 to 1. No free rides !! lol. Cold air intakes hurt fuel mileage.

I've been averaging 20-21mpg. Stock (for now) trdor. I do most of my driving on the highway and don't live anywhere near traffic prone areas. There definitely seems to be a sweet spot between 45-65mph where on flat ground I'll get 24-25+mpg. Anything closer to 70-75mph and it seems to drop pretty quick.

DCSB manual with 265/65r17 Duratracs. I generally hover between 16-17mpg with a probably 80 highway/20 city split.

15L/100 kms is 15.7mpg for our USA friends. You must be using British Gallons which no one uses outside UK I don't think. If you're getting 15L/100kms in the Taco that's pretty poor even in winter.

The last couple months, I've been plugging up my bed outlet to a GFCI plug near my driveway every night and holy shit..... I'm seeing 17.5 MPG consistently!!! There is some secret Prius ninja sauce built into these trucks and Toyota is lying to us. Try it. Thank me later.
