I’ll give that a second look. I assume I can connect in the engine compartment under the green cap?

If it is that assembly I think it can be replaced without too much effort, as long as I can get the clamps off.

laughs.....please be careful, I'd do it though as long as it was blocked off well from ANY fire near vapors.

Really, that smoker looks fool proof simple to make....I HAVE seen one made from a glass jar.

    Like a bong.....ask the son.

I had the same code and I ignored it for a bit.
One day it got worse and I had a small fuel leak. After some inspection I found it was the hose bridging the filler tube to the tank.
It cracked. I wasn't 100% sure though because you can't see anything under there. I ordered it and jacked the bed up. Pain in the a... to get my hands in there and remove it.
Removed it and it had a crack. Cant see it unless you remove it.
Damn, must have deleted the pictures I took. Cant find them.
    Little accordion looking piece.

Makes me wonder too if during the dealers smoke test if the smoke actually rises from the leak up to the top of the filler neck where they saw it. It is a bad enough leak the DW complains of the gas smell. I can smell it just as I walk by the area after driving. You would think it would be easy to find.

mine was a hard plastic part that only showed (physically) when you tried to flex it.
2 lbs. of smoke made it obvious though. It was the overflow valve on top of the tank that goes to the charcoal cannister.
I would never have found it w/o.

could be a bad valve on the charcoal cann also then if they just pumped it 'til it made a leak for itself.

Thise are checked with a 9V battery for opening and closing...and they can rust stuck.

edit: I wouldn't be supect of that yet though unless nothing else showed up.

I just saw a small leak after a while and decided to look where it came from. Figured it was 1-2 things and ordered the part. Prayed and crossed fingers.
Only saw it after removing and twisting.

Yup. That's what happened to me. It was annoying. Got worse.
Gahhh I took a picture on purpose because I thought it was the craziest thing I found this part was leaking. Only shown when twisting too.
I will look harder tonight maybe have it on my laptop.

I would hope if smoke came out from there the dealer wouldn't say 'gas cap'.

Couldn't see it until I twisted it outside the truck.
