I think it was a very small amount. Should I be worried?

How small? If it's 4 ounces it might be fine. If it was 2 litre bottle you better dump the tank.

If it's soda then it's probably corn syrup and you should be OK. The main thing about granular sugar in the gas tank is it doesn't disolve and it will plug up your fuel filter inlet. Wose thing that can happen is it burns your fuel pump out.

You should be ok, hoss. Just drive it like you stole it for a while :)

Sugar doesn't burn cleanly. That's the problem. It will leave hard black carbon every stroke until it builds up enough to seize the motor.

Sugar in the gas tank doesn't clog a fuel filter. It blows up engines.

Ummm, why do you have locks on your house, car doors, safe deposit boxes, gun safes, or handcuffs then.... you should just leave everything unlocked.

it's just like the hose clamp mod for your tailgate, everything can be defeated, you're just trying to make it more difficult for a-holes.
