Fuel gauge doesnt go down

    So look i decided to change my cluster lights to purple to match mg leds in the cabin so i soldered the new lights in everything else is fine in the cluster except the fuel gauge needle is innacurate it goes up when i put it into accessories but it does not go down as im using fuel it doesnt increase nor decrease when i use fuel neither when I refuel

    Sounds like you managed to solder in a short, either that, or you messed up a dash cluster ground while you were in there. Is that the only thing that isn't working?

    #1 what did you change/move/replace?
    #2 go right back to what you did and look over again and again
    You cross soldered something on the board

    I believe the gauge is operated by a potentiometer on the ground side.
    Is the gauge showing full, empty, or in between?

    I'm guessing it's showing full and somehow there was a short soldered onto the combination meter, the resistance of the sender goes down as level in the tank goes up.
