    so first off OP is right about that it "COULD" be measured more precisely, we have the technology! now that would cost an excessive amount of $$ for something that 1. is not supposed to be a precise instrument, 2. No one really is that upset about it being imprecise (eg. OP seems to be upset and yet it did not stop him from purchasing said vehicle) and 3. actual precision measurement tools require regular calibrations. so basically no midrange automobile manufacture is going to "FIX" a non existent problem that 99.9% of the community could not give 2 shits about.

    Is it just me or does anyone else get a sense of satisfaction when the needle is past the F? I can usually drive 80-100 miles before the needle hits F.

    Plus, I usually fill up my tank once I’m about 1/2 full, so I’m not worried about how many miles you can get in between each hash mark.

    Snug top Rebel, Thule tracks, ditch tracks, Bagged rear suspension, F/R anytime camera, intermittent wiper switch...
    Fuel changes volume with temperature change, it's not going to be consistent no matter how accurate it reads at a given time.

    Mine goes 45, 30, 60, 70. I always fill up at a 1/4 tank so i dont know how far it’ll go until empty.
