Yeah he basically did. And left it up till the pictures I posted. He lost one of those seals for an injector so I had to go to toyota the next day and get it. And said that I should be able to put it all back together, which I did. But then I found that leak. Which mind you we had to remove to get to the harness. So when he put that back on he clearly didn't do it correctly.

Thanks, it is what it is though. Trying to show my girls just cause we're "girls" doesn't mean we can't do things or at least try.

Remove the sensor on the side for better access to the other nut. When reinstalling it, make sure you use sealing thread tape of some kind so it doesn't leak (ie Teflon tape). You should be able to remove that sensor with a crescent wrench no problem. Just make sure the wrench is on there good and locked in as tight as possible before attempting to remove it.

When your dude was working on it with you he probably bent the pipe which is why it won't go on easily now. It may be difficult to put it back on even if you do manage to make it loose. You may need to use some coercive power to get it back on there to the point where it threads easily now.

That pipe is a fuel rail cross over line and can see somewhere in the neighborhood as much as 2100 psi since the 3rd gen uses a high pressure fuel system. You'll know when it's tight on there as it will be more difficult to turn the wrench.

Hey Steph...do you know how to loosen the fuel rails?...not remove them just loosen the bolts so they will wiggle a little..if both rails would move just slightly ,that might give you what you need to get the line on

My vote is replace the part due to seating importance. A little more expensive but a lot more peace of mind

    back to bone stock.
dang. i know me. i would try to loosen the other end somewhat being VERY careful not to disconnect it. i bet that gives you wiggle room to get the other side started.

Flare end wrenches are the correct tool. those fasteners are on the softer side to assist with sealing IIRC.

OP. you need to put it altogether yourself? you are a badass!!

    You know what?
Some auto parts stores have tool rental,,, many are free, just buy something and leave a deposit.
Can you call around and see if they have a “crows foot” socket in what size you need?
Do you or anyone know what size it is?
