Look iam not as disappointed as a lot of you on this site , however it seems that a little panic is setting in with your choice of truck . Perhaps your worried down the road that your truck won't hold it's value do to the so called poor fuel mpg . It's like a dirty little secret getting out in the open . You may be stuck with a 35,000 truck that nobody wants . OH well . This idea is eating most of you up . STOP WATCHING YOUR FUEL GUAGE , AND ENJOY YOUR TRUCK !

You can't turn an apple into a banana , this truck is what it is perfect . Stop complaining .you can't improve your mpg's by looking at your gas gauge every second .

I drive about 75mph on the highway, flat and smooth all the way no stops. Honestly I didn't even look at the mileage report on the window sticker, and I'm not "complaining" about the bad mileage, I'm just complaining that in 8 years they haven't made a noticeable improvement. I read somewhere that the 2015 will be government mandated for fuel economy, but I haven't heard any numbers. Would be interesting to know what they are.

Have you checked your odometer for accuracy with the winter tires?

I do the same 160 mile interstate trip every month. Odometer is off about 3%, my ScanGauge is corrected to zero error compared to 50 miles of mile markers. Compared to early fall, my mpg has dropped about 20% from 21-21.5 on this trip in warm weather to about 16.5-17 in freezing weather in January. Cold weather, winter blend gas are the reason (@67 mph in rolling country).

Sounds like my kind of terrain.

The only indication I have of accuracy right now is highway markers, which seem to match perfectly at this point.

Brakeman is banned?? That's horrible! His posts contributed so much! :)

Wow. He got banned for that, or were there other posts that did it? That seemed rather innocuous to me.

Edit: Never mind... I saw a few more of his posts. Douche.
