Just a question guys , I did a complete fluid change on my truck 06 TRD with 100 kilometers (60 Miles) . I replaced oil , diff , and transfercase with synthetic , and since then the truck seems to coast easiler with less drag , am I crazy ? (I'd ask you fellas this question , but definately not the wife ),,, or is this possible I will also be doing the tranny next month ,( it seems like it coasts easier):crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy: , and maybe when it warms up even better fuel mileage ? Thanks

I felt the difference when putting all new fluids in and switching most to synthetic. Could be that the old junk was nasty too though

    Always something
I do recall reading somewhere in the past that synthetic oil in general should net you about 2-3% better mpg, and possible little more power. I'm sure it's minor, but every little bits count.

I owe my winter mileage to the synthetic stuff in the diffs. Dino oil turns into molasses in the cold.

It's definitely not all in your head.

That 2-3% is when the pigs are warm. The synthetic stuff doesn't thicken as much when it cools off. For a better idea of how much benefit there is, just think of how many times you drive your truck more than 30 minutes after a cold start. It takes quite a while longer to heat up the diffs than the engine/tranny.
