Had the same issue with my truck this past Thursday and had to get it towed. It's a 2019 with 15k miles. The part is on backorder and they haven't told me when I'll be getting my truck back. It's so annoying..

Called my dealer today and replacement pump was delivered, glad I didn't wait for them to call me. Scheduled for service on my next day off. N808, you have any news on repair on Kona side?

Been two weeks since I dropped it off . Finally called them today and they said they have only 1 of 3 parts and didn’t have a exact eta when they get those other 2 still truck less at this time ( they said pump has a chip that wiggs out causing it to drop fuel pressure )

No I’m sure they’re not, but usually you don’t hear too many complaints about them.

I think they're all the same tbh. Just more numbers in the 16's 17's. Just a guess tho.

Interesting that Toyota is having issues with the LPFP failing. I am assuming this is an issue related to manufacturing of the LPFP as I’ve never seen any reports of it happening in the 16-18 models. Hopefully it’s an isolated issue and they can get it corrected, if not done so already.

Yep, this is the first I've heard of this issue. Bad run of pumps perhaps...

Why would he ask for an extended warranty? They are making it whole and taking care of the problem? Why does everyone think they deserve something these days. It has a warranty for a reason and they are taking care of it.

Just got my truck back after a month they replaced that rear pump but I noticed that it still feels like it’s going to stall out at idle to low rpm . Keep in mind mines a auto I have a feeling more problems are gonna come up

Finally got it back! Good for you. Hope everything goes smoothly for you. I’m concerned about the reported shortage of tank fuel pumps.

Tank fuel pump replaced, got the truck back today. I’m glad it wasn’t too long of a wait to get the part delivered. It’s running okay, fingers crossed.

much to my delight, I'm happy to report my '18 4x4 offroad is having similar issues, usually in 2nd/3rd gear above 3k rpm, truck will just "die" and has to be restarted to get the power back. CEL and traction control lights came on. Happened today so haven't had a chance to get the issue looked at yet. has about 21k miles on it.

Update: for anyone wondering what fault reports popped up, I ran them and got the following. Looks like it’s directly related to low pressure pump, as stated earlier in thread. Taking it to my dealership tomorrow to see what they say. (Sorry for crap image, posting from mobile)

Had my fuel pump fixed a couple of weeks ago....now the check engine light turned on and I'm wondering if it's related... guess we'll see.

I've never had to take another vehicle to the dealer as much as this one.

Ahh yes, the good old GM products failing as usual. These trucks are doomed to the same fuel pump failures as the GM trucks and SUVs of the early to mid 2000s since Toyota decided to use garbage pumps. Mark my words, this will NOT be an isolated issue and this will continue to happen until they either A. Change manufacturers, or B. The manufacturer improves their inferior material usage from said design.
