Hey guys, just posting another thread to separate it from my currently ongoing problem thread to see if anyone has the answer to this so I can troubleshoot it separately.

When inspecting the fuel pump on my 2RZ-FE the FSM says the following (I started at e since I do not own a Toyota hand held tester):

    upload_2020-10-13_16-42-56.jpg

When I connect the leads as stated I can hear the pump running and there is slight pressure in my inlet hose from the fuel filter, however my question comes from where it says HINT: at this time you will hear fuel return noise.

Will I hear this noise immediately when I connect the leads and the pump is running or will I hear it when I squeeze the hose and slightly increase pressure to the fuel rail and then to the fuel pressure regulator?

Currently I hear the noise as soon as I touch the leads and the pump begins to run and if I disconnect the return line from the fuel pressure regulator and touch the leads I will get gas rushing out of the fuel pressure regulator.

As soon as the pump builds enough pressure even with the engine running you always will have fuel returning to the tank when things are working correct

Well it sounds like things are in working order then. Pulled my vacuum sensing hose today and left it off for about 3-4 minutes to see if any fuel is leaking through the diaphragm in it but there was none so I'll check that part off my list.
