Today Toyota expanded the fuel pump recall by over a million. Now includes Tacoma’s built till Sept 2020...
It’s getting to the point that when I think about the Toyota brand, I hear the banjo’s playing the song from the movie deliverance. And Squeal like a pig whispered in my ear
Total recall now 5.85 million per Reuter’s

Great. Well that could explain why my truck RPM was fluctuating at idle

I just checked recall status and this is what I get, no "remedy" yet

    2019 Toyota Tacoma

    Title
Safety Recall 20TA02 (Interim Notice 20TB02), Multiple Model and Model Years, Vehicle May Stall During Driving at Higher Speed

    Status
    Remedy Not Available

    Description
The subject vehicles are equipped with a low-pressure fuel pump which may stop operating. If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough. This may result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted.
    Remedy
Toyota is currently preparing the remedy. When the remedy becomes available, any authorized Toyota dealers will replace the low-pressure fuel pump with an improved one FREE OF CHARGE.

    Sure, why not? Have one!

For all the people thinking that Toyota having recalls is bad. Think about GM not recalling ignition switches when they were told there was a problem and didn't until there were multiple deaths.
    Toyota calls recalls "Customer Service"!

This is true, but I don’t recall customers from those manufactures parking their vehicles for 9 months, while they figure out what to do, like some on TW have mentioned.

My 2019 SR5 with a 03-2019 build date is now on the list. Just happened to check the Toyota owners app because I’m leaving on a road trip in 2 days. Good timing!

Better trade your truck in for an old Schwinn bicycle if you can't accept recalls on new vehicles. Its bound to happen given the technology and manufacturing involved.

Thanks, I’ll inquire to my local dealer about that option.

It’s included now. Go to nhtsa website. Type your vin. I have the 2017 . It’s now included lol. And I thought my 2017 taco is special. I guess this is better than to realize it should have been included when I’m on the trail lol.

In my mind this is Denso's problem?

The pumps are dead nuts simple. They should have gotten it right, just like Takata?

Now, GM's ignition barrel fiasco? That is on the automaker.

This is how I am looking at it.
