    I will say though, it's really weird how everyone and their dad were special ops super snipers. Didn't meet very many when I was in, but boy are they everywhere when you get out. It's funny that way.

    They have to get a manufacturer to make 1.8 million fuel pumps...that’s not something that happens in a day and gets distributed worldwide overnight.

    The truck won’t just magically stop the instant the fuel pump dies. The engine will quit and it will coast to a stop exactly the same way it would if you let your foot off the gas. There’s really no more reason to be concerned about getting in an accident than any other day.

    Mine is also on the list. Still like my truck, and hate going to stealership. Will get it taken care of when they duct tape the TSS sensor, and change my oil next.

    Between the transmission not accelerating fast enough when you pull out in front of on-coming traffic and the fuel pump suddenly shutting off and murdering your loved ones, I'm surprised the Tacoma has a 4 star safety rating at all. What's next? EnTune leading a genocide?

    100% serious. If you’re doing 80mph and the engine quits the truck will just gradually slow down. If you get hit doing that you were going to be hit by the jackass behind you not paying attention anyway. It’s not like the recall says your brakes are going to lock up or your differential is going to seize and bring you to a sudden, uncontrollable screeching halt.
