No but that didn't exactly leave me with peace of mind after seeing that when I dropped my truck off. They just took literally all damn day.

Here we go, finally got the recall in my region.

We've been doing sequoias, fj's, 4runers and siennas all by dropping the tank.

The tacoma is a pain to drop, so we lower it half way.

I've removed it once but this way proved to be the best and least intrusive. Only 1 evap line and 1 fuel line is touched.

I've seen one other pic like this, and it makes waaaay more sense.

Well, my Taco is at the dealer until mid/late December thanks to back-ordered parts.

Trying to be optimistic but it's tough when your dealer always messes things up. They're the only one within 200 miles, though, so I'm stuck with 'em.

The dealership called me a few weeks ago to schedule the fuel pump swap. I dropped it off last night for a 7:00 am appointment. They checked the mileage and the VIN, asked about it needing the 6 month Toyota Care that they just did a month ago (should have been a red flag there...) and said that it takes about 4 hours so it would be done by lunch time. Not a problem because I wasn't going to pick it up until after work anyway.

I received a phone call at 9:00 that I could pick it up because "a fix hasn't been released by Toyota for it yet" so they can't do anything to it.

Then why did you call me to schedule the repair?
And why wasn't it flagged when you checked it in last night?

On the plus side, they dropped it off at my house so I don't need to go through the hassle of picking it up from them tonight.

Can't wait to go through this again when "a fix" is released for it.

I dropped mine off yesterday evening, they put it in the mechanics bay and called me at 10am saying it was done. On the way shortly to pick it up, fingers crossed for the best.

I have had really close people to me go in for major major surgery and not get the worry from anyone near close to the worry a bunch of people are getting from a fuel pump replacement. Relax and live life.

I swear mine feels smoother. I never really had a problem but it must be in my head that it is so much smoother. I went about 130miles and the fuel mileage seems to be improved.

I don't know what you're talking about I dyno'd mine before and after the recall and picked up about 40 ponies. Also the dyno is in my butt.

I don't suppose anyone used this opportunity to ask the dealer to install a studded strap, did they?

So, I previously reported that my check engine light went on 12 hours after the fuel pump recall was performed. Finally got it checked out and it was "evap emissions hose to evap canister was not on correctly."

Hey all, thought I’d add to the list of problems that have been added to our trucks after the recall.

I had my fuel pump recall done in the beginning of November and noticed that the filler neck for the gas tank was misaligned a few days after the recall was done. I brushed it off and just man handled it back into place with the gas cap on which made it look like it was fixed, but a couple of days ago I went to get gas and lo and behold the neck is still misaligned.

I’m gonna call the dealership I had the recall done at and hope they can get me in sometime soon to have this issue fixed.
