I had mine done on Dec. 1 and just did a 900-mile round trip from Kansas to Colorado for some camping and hiking. No driving issues or leaks noted, gas mileage was unchanged, but I'll probably have to wait a few months before I don't think about the work that was done.

Called the dealer doing the fuel pump this PM. They just want to be safer than sorry. So they requested everything out of the BED and back seat. Still not sure on the Back Seat but will honor the request. I specifically asked them if they would remove the bed ( I have a DCSB ) and they said not.

My rationale, is that I have a ton of electronics for HAM stuff and some other "mods". They promised me that the would not remove the bed....ONLY jack it up and apply the fuel pump.

Ill report back when they get it done....they said 4 hours to 5 hours.

Personally I feel that is EXTREMELY padded but will see how it goes.

I also asked about my RCI armor. The SA said it is NOT an issue as they deal with that ever day it seems.

What I WILL do is take pics before I bring it in of the under carriage and my RCI tank armor AND the fuel neck as I saw a post a long time ago about it not going back correctly. Probably not an issue but better to be safe than sorry.

    EDIT:

When I spoke with the actual SA today he said to bring it in under 1/2 tank....less is better. So I said I will bring it in with 1 to 2 gallons in the tank and he was very appreciative.

Dropped of the truck about two hours ago and just received a call that the power is out and it'll probably be done tomorrow now. A least I have a loaner 2020 corolla.:mudding:

The strange thing is that over a year ago when I brought my truck into a different dealer for the MMW radar service campaign the power was out also.

The power came back on at the dealer and they finished it today. No issues so far driving it the 10 miles home.

The farkles have started and on order
I just had my fuel pump changed. They called me and told me they got the wrong part in so they had to hold the truck over the weekend. I said no problem they gave me a Camery loaner. They said try to have a 1/4 tank of fuel they need to drop the tank. Seems all good

Thought I would post this in this thread. If this isn't the best place, let me know.

I just had my fuel pump replaced as part of the recall. The next morning, I got a check engine light throwing error codes: P0455 & P0441. Are these related to the fuel pump replacement? The error: Evaporative emission (EVAP) system – incorrect flow (large leak) detected

Have you checked the fuel tank cap, for seal integrity and being tight. Could also be a vent line loose when they dropped the tank. Check your gas cap first

Those of you that have already had the recall done, did they spray your truck all over the inside when you dropped it off to disinfect for covid? This guy in this video claims they do that when you drop it off, and also before you pick it up. He describes it as spraying the whole interior of the truck. I know many of you have had this recall performed. Did anyone see or notice anything like that? I'm attaching a link to his video. His description starts at 1:10. Very troubling!

Dousing the inside of your truck with with some unknown chemical with a spraying device.

Had my recall done a couple weeks ago. I got no prior request to have the fuel tank fill level low or below half. I don't remember what my level was when I took it in. My dealer did not have any different access to the building rules, though they did have a "Masks Required" notice. I dropped my vehicle for the day as I was having my 20k service completed, and my PA state safety and emissions inspection at the same time. I did not witness, nor get the sense that the interior of my vehicle had been sprayed with a disinfectant. Neither did I remove things from the bed of my truck nor the back seat. I have driven about 5 tanks of gas through it since the recall action, including two 300 mile round-trips to my cabin in the mountains. One pulling a small trailer loaded with a couple dual sport motorcycles and one without. My subjective opinion suggests the truck downshifts more frequently, like driving with the ECT button engaged even when it isn't. This makes it seem a little peppier, but again that is a pretty subjective observation. My fuel economy has gotten worse, by about 10%, but, this is also the time of the year when the gas stations here in PA switch to Winter Blend, and I've always gotten this 10% reduction in fuel economy throughout the winter, So, I cannot exactly declare it was related to the recall action. Otherwise, a couple of my screen options were reset, probably by a disconnection of the battery. My report is inconclusive, just impressions.
