Fuel pump recall on the way

2017 dclb done today. No issues.

Yea no issues. Would have been nice if they serviced it when i took it in. My service light came on right after

 

Yeah, no issues . Checked in with the fuel light on though (15 miles to empty lol ) Just want to make sure they have no trouble doing the recall .

 

Getting mine done today. Just dropped it off

 

Did they end up replacing it? I might give my dealer a call and see if they’re able to do it yet.

 

Yes, dropped it off with 1/4 tank, took about 2 hours.

Got mine done yesterday. It took ~2 1/2 hours; they lowered the gas tank--no messing with the bed on the Tacoma.

 

Dropped off at 7am today and got a call that ready for pickup now.

So roughly 7 hours wait for me

 

Dropped the tank. No messing with the bed. Oil, lube, etc. Two hours.

 

Just came back from picking mine up. No issues from what it seems. Dealer service was busy and kind of just rushed me out.

Test drove around and dont notice any difference in acceleration or responsiveness as some others mentioned.

Now i have peace of mind going on long drives

So far how many had their beds taken off their Tacoma by the dealership to change out their fuel pump under warranty???

 

That's pure bull$hit if someone told you that.

 

with regards to what? You physically can not get to the fuel pump on a DSCB from the top.

 

It's pure BS they are removing beds on the AC or LB to access the fuel pump. I know the Service Mgr at my dealership and his tech has never done it that way nor is that what Toyota recommends.

 

swapped mine out just fine other then the smell of gas inside my truck for days....

 

Mine (‘19) goes to dealer today. I asked for any current ECT flash as well. Hoping for a little giddy up on acceleration without the ect button always on.
