    That’s a good est.
More than likely less than that if things go right

Done. Truck runs fine and no longer worried about Toyota saying this is normal cut out. In dangerous situations.

Got the Fuel Pump done just now...brought it in 12:47 and I was out at 2:15pm...
I'm pretty OCD about the truck so take this with a grain of salt maybe....It doesn't look like anything was touched. I thought they had to remove the back seat to drop the tank (according to the woman who called me to schedule) but it looked exactly as I'd left it...I really hope I'm just being ridiculous here.

I'm the same way. Mine took less than two hours, and there were no visible signs of them doing anything. That is, until I got underneath and could tell there had been a socket on both tank straps, and I could tell from a little oily spot that there had been a jack underneath the tank. Plus I'm sure they would be liable in some way if you actually had pump trouble somewhere down the road.

I'm pretty sure they access it by dropping the tank from the bottom not by removing the back seat. I'm sure you're fine, my truck was the exact same, looked like nothing had even been touched and no residual fuel smell anywhere.

Mine took a little over an hour, had some smudges around the filler neck and a slight smell of gas inside. Service manager said they’re getting pretty good with them, lots of practice.

My local dealer gives out $10 taxi vouchers and my condo is a $10 taxi ride away.

Took 3 hours to do. I bicycled home and back again to pick it up.

No difference than before, but it 's done...

Got mine done yesterday. Had no issues before so noticed no difference performance wise. Dealership just dropped the tank as my decked system wasnt disturbed in the bed. Also did a service so in and out in about 5 hours.

I noticed my KCLV values went from 17 to 22 on the highway after the swap. My mileage had started to drop also so I think I was close to a problem. I'm up to about 32,000 miles though

Sad to say but service advisors are random blokes that get a decent amount of pay to tell you what is being done to your vehicle but don't actually turn the wrenches like Mike does. I made the appt for my truck and I pray that there is an experienced tech doing the fuel pump. I would rather talk to the tech all day and never talk to the service advisor. I know too much about dealerships through a good friend who owns one and numerous family members on my wifes side. I am so nervous to bring my truck in. Every time I bring something in, I end up leaving with more problems then I came with.

I am still hesitant about getting the 10k maintenance with the oil chance done but I am gonna do it. I guess...

My mother brought her Toyota Camry in for a change and one day she was down the road from the house she noticed oil started spilling out of the car. I crawled under it to realize that the gasket on the filter was put in the wrong spot. The tech put it all the way up on the filter housing instead of putting it in the ribbed location where it is supposed to go.

I've had some good and bad experiences with both Toyota and other dealerships.

The best one was the time I needed an in-chassis rebuild of the engine in my '88Celica Alltrack. It was a small town Toyota dealership; I got to pick their best mechanic to do the work; he was coming back to work from a compensation claim for an injured wrist and needed short days to start and I didn't need the car in any rush as I had others cars; the mechanic lived in my neighbourhood so when I dropped the Celica off, the mechanic drove me home.:)

I did my recall service today, immediately noticed a difference in performance.
    Took about 2.5 hours.

Me too. I had a surging under WOT that I dismissed as a tune issue and VVT doing it’s thing. Nope. Strong and smooth throughout rev range. LP pump is now at 56-60. Before it was 49-52.

Was able to get my ‘20 done yesterday, for those waiting to get theirs replaced. Funny enough, I got the remedy notice yesterday as well.
