fuel range gauge

Ok I do not understand I pulled my camp trailer about 1800 miles getting between 8-14 miles per gallon. now that I am home I get around 20 miles per gallon but when I fill the tank the fuel to empty gague says I have 265 mile to empty 21x 20 410 miles ? ANYBODY KNOW WHAT T F

 

This ^^^ will reset after you fill up again and go back to normal.

You drove 1800 miles towing. It may take 1800 miles to figure out you're no longer towing.

Personally I think those readouts are the most useless features on vehicles today. They estimate how much farther you can drive based on driving conditions behind you. How many miles you can go before filling up is going to be determined by road and traffic conditions in front of you.
