I'm not an expert but this is the part that worries me :( Good luck dude.

Now I'm thinking I should carry tools with me to pop the plugs off if I roll...

I know that some people can get a decent amount of fluids out of the cylinders with a turkey baster through the spark plug hole.

Nah, they're my good buddies. Often I am the designated trail leader so there's respect amongst us all no matter what you drive. They were just worried about me and my truck

Our starters shouldn't have the torque to be able to bend a rod. Apparently there's a few older Ford's that can do it? Would be interesting to know more about this topic.

Not yet, having a red seal heavy duty tech to do the rest. It's -30C with the windchill now so it's beyond me working outside on the street at this point. Will post an update tomorrow.

Most of you are rooting for my baby, much love TW!

Okay OP- Seeing alot of mixed info in this thread with different suggestions. Having dealt with hydrolocked etc engines before here is why my order of operations would be-
    1. Disconnect battery
    2. Pull all 6 plugs
    3. Manually rotate engine with breaker bar by the crank bolt CLOCKWISE. If you cant move it with a breaker bar and a bit of force you can stop here, you're locked up, but I doubt that is the case based on how you described it.
    4. If the engine does rotate freely, look for oil coming out of the spark plug holes
    5. Disconnect fuel pump relay
    6. Reconnect battery ensuring it is charged, and with the sparkplugs still removed, bump the engine over- be ready for oil to come flying out.
    7. If the engine is cranking away freely and has blown out all the oil, reinstall fresh plugs and fuel pump relay.
    8. Crank and hope for the best.
    9. If she runs, go buy some Meguairs cutting compound and call your local PDR guy- they can work wonders.
    10. Bring an overweight passenger next time.

    Good luck!

Only thing I'd add would be to put an old blanket over the top when cranking and shooting out the oil, to catch it all. Saw some Australian guys do it on YT when they rolled their truck! Shit caught a lot of oil.

this should be the standard OP everytime a rig lands on it's side or ends up on the lid before trying to start the rig back up. Shouldn't take long to pull the plugs and clear the chambers while on trail. An hours work of pulling the plugs and reinstalling can potentially save thousands in motor repair or replacement.

Agreed! One thing I'm a little unclear on is how to manually turn the engine over. I know it's on the front somewhere, but where?

I am way less experienced than you guys so I'll keep my mouth shut on how to fix it. I just want to say I hope your truck gets fixed soon and cheaply @OP! Oh, and I'm really impressed at how little damage there was to the exterior of the truck. Just a nice battle scar to tell a story about.

Oh, and thanks to all the commenters, now I have a way better idea of what to do if I ever roll my own truck.

Turkey baster to get excess oil out of the cylinders to minimize how much gets shot out when you do crank it?

Wish I would've known this sooner. The dealership caught wind of what I was doing and told me to stop or there's zero chance that they would be able to help me out...

Thank you for the valuable info friend!

The ARB bumper saved pretty much everything unless I just happened to completely fluke out altogether.
