Sailors are deployed from 6 to 9 months at a time. Aside from dead batteries and rodent damage, I've never seen an issue that is gasoline related when it comes to starting their cars. Except for the occasional dumbass that parked it on empty and had a dry tank when they got back.

It is not a good method to store the vehicle with a partial tank of fuel.

Add stablizer, fill the tank, run engine for a few minutes, drain carb or fuel bowls (if possible). Disconnect battery or place on a battery maintainer.

It's my understanding that the 10% is only an issue after the gas gets a few months old. If you are filling the tank on a regular basis...I believe there is no issue. I personally use Stabil in all my lawn equipment gas cans, but not in my cars.

I put this shit in EVERYTHING outside of my truck (truck gets driven enough that stabilizer would be pointless). But all 4 motorcycles (3 FI 1 carbureted), 2 carb'd older jetskis and 2 honda generators. I have lovely CA E10 gas in one generator that has to be 2+ years old with a SOLID dose of startron and I can go out at any point, turn the fuel on let it fill the carb, and it will fire up first pull.

I won’t do that. I ride ATV’s but generally limit how much gas I have stored around my house or garage. A couple of days before or after a ride I might have a filled gas can I need to store, but it stays in my detached wooden shed until used or dumped into a vehicle. Empty gas cans get stored out there too. YMMV

As far as Stabil, I use it in my vehicles (such as ATV’s and generators) which sit for months during the off-season. I also try to store vehicles with full gas tanks and drain the carburetor (if applicable). On small engines check your fuel lines regularly as almost all my ATV’s have had their fuel lines get hard and brittle from Ethanol.

available in all states, www.pure-gas.org non eth rec fuel, needs no stabil... FOR THE WIN! I even run it in the tacoma for premium fuel tuning. :D everything that has small engine, carbs, efi gets non eth at my house. generator, mowers, saw, sleds, bikes, etc...

do you really think if stabil, or startron was that good at stabilizing eth fuel phase separation (can happen in as little as 14 days), the fuel mfgrs would just automatically mix it in their product? you do you, i know what i am doing. Ski

I use non-ethanol + Stabil in all 2-stroke and 4-stroke toys and tools. All 12 months of the year (bc you never know when something might not be used for months)
I use regular gas on daily drivers and add Stabil as a precaution if they’re gonna be parked for more than a few months. I also add ‘Gas Line Antifreeze with Water Remover’ a few times during the winter months.
Never had a problem doing this....
