My fuel tank overflows for some reason. I tried filling it on the slow setting and on the fast setting. I also tried several different gas stations(all different brands) and it's all the same. I can't see anything in or around the fuel neck that would indicate a problem. Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks.

Bump! but I believe most fuel tanks have a small return line to "tell" the pump hey I am full, by creating a loop. I would try and see if yours is loose/broken.

    Where is Chris4x4???

I would like to check that out. Is there anywhere I can get a drawing of the fuel tank system?

I am having the same problem. The auto shutoff on the gas pump doesnt turn off until the fuel is right at the top of the tank, and then overflows. did you find out what the problem was?

I did not but the guy I sold the truck to did. He said the problem was the pressure regulator or whatever its called. He said its a plastic piece that is supposed to be installed in the tank neck area where you slide the fuel pump into.
Anyway, once a new one was installed the problem went away. I would go to the dealer or a mechanic and maybe have them inspect yours or ask for a drawing and see if you could figure out what may be causing your problem. Most likely there is something wrong with a component in that area.
I don't know what it's called or what it looks like. He just told what it was.
Sorry I can't be of anymore help.
