Anyone know what the average long term feul trim is for the 2014 v6 should be? It has 117k miles on it. According to my Blue Driver scans and recordings I did this week LTFT for bank 1 and 2 run at 15-17% during acceleration and at cruise. My feul milage has depreciated around 1.5 and 3mpg depending on conditions. Everything is pretty up to date fir general maintenance; running amsOil signature series, clean filters , and plugs have maybe 20k on them. Not sure what's caused the mpg to drop. Truck runs strong and baby driven it for the vast majority of drives.

    O2 sensors maybe?

I got an MPtuners v3 for xmas and planning to do a tune in near future. Figured I should make sure everything is as fresh as I can before that considering the 117k miles on it, plus it was sadly mostly parked for three years of the covid drama.

Diagnosing MPG loss can be pretty difficult especially without having hands on the truck as there can be alot of contributing factors.

Ideally total (long term + short term) fuel trims should be +/-10%, it gets over +/-25% and you will start getting lean/rich codes.

First off are you running the stock intake and air filter?

    Thanks for the input!
I have stock exhaust and been running a K&N filter since the week I purchased the truck (15,400 miles, now 117k). I keep the filter pretty clean and soak out filter oil after refresh so it's not a soggy filter dripping oil. I've heard k&n oil does horrible things to the mas sensor.

I think I'll go with changing out the MAS sensor, recheck data logs, then do the O2 sensors front sides, recheck logs and reevaluate again. I'm guessing at this many miles there's a good reason to change those items anyway.

Forgot to mention that I had a post a few months ago about changing out feul pump assembly. Holy cow that was a b*tch. I should post pictures of that drama , too. But I can say "WOW" that pump assembly was 2 or three pounds heavier than the replacement. This 2nd generation feul filter is also that pump assembly and I had no idea that much crap could accumulate in a hundred thousand miles. Still scratching my head over that.

    I wouldn’t change the O2 sensors unless I had a reason.
Poor fuel mileage is not a reason.
Graphing the sensors, and MAF data, would be a better.

Cleaning the MAF would be better than replacing it.

With what we know so far. Throwing parts at it isn’t a good way to fix it.
Ideally, you want a valid reason to change parts.

    Thanks for the feedback!
I have stock everything. Exception being a K&N filter and that charcoal thing removed.

I think I'm going to replace MAS since that's super easy. Log data on a tank and then replace upstream O sensors. Go from there.

    Why clean versus replacement?
I just saw this post and now scratching my head even morso.
I been very nice to this truck and it sho. Except I've lost milage since when kung-flu-covid came about. Now I had it parked mostly and maybe putting 3k yearly for 3.5 years. Now I'm wanting to get it upgraded, slowly, as I absolutely love the truck. I've had several trucks in this class and can say it's worth keeping beyond ten years. It h117k miles and feels like it just broke in.

Anyway, to be continued. Any additional advice is greatly appreciated

I wouldnt replace the maf, clean it first.

Throttle bodies with heavy carbon can mess up fuel trim. It's 100% worth cleaning first.

Also check to see if the hose from the air cleaner box to the fuel pressure regulator is connected.
