I've searched through the forum and haven't found an exact answer to my issue yet so sorry if this is a dumb question. I just purchased a 2017 SR5 a few weeks ago and it has been awesome for the most part. The past two times I have gone to fill up my tank, when I take off the gas cap there is a very strong hiss and it lets out a bunch of pressure. It then will not fill the tank without shutting off every two seconds. I was thinking it could be an evap cannister issue but I am not getting any codes. is the pressure in the tank dangerous? Any help is much appreciated.

Just a guess, but it kind of sounds like an EVAP purge solenoid issue or something similar. It's not so much that you're experiencing pressure as much as it isn't venting pressure like it should while filling. If that part is the issue, it is a pretty cheap part. But I'm sure there are other things it could be too within the EVAP system.

Ya i was also thinking that. I will probably unhook the hose going to the evap canister and see if I can narrow down the problem. Just seems weird that there doesnt seem to be many other people who have had issues with the evap cannister or system. I may have overfilled the first time I filled it up.
