My mileage sucks wtf? I suppose its the luck of the draw, I notice some 4 cylinders getting just slightly better mpg than the 6's.

Those of you with larger tires, have you adjusted your numbers for your tires?

Maybe experts could chime in. It's a given that a lift & tires causes lower mileage... I do not think it's as bad as it seems.... with larger tires it throws your speedometer & odometer off so it does not register correct.
Click on the link below... It lets you compare specs on the stock tire vs 285 or whatever your running.. I think 285's throw the speedo off about 7%

When I add my mileage it is already corrected for my tires and such. Now my indicator in my sig it says 19+mpg average but if you click it and look at the fuelly site it says 16+ is my average I have not gotten 19mpg since I joined Fuelly. Odd.

Does fuelly have a setting for oversize tires?

No sir, I have always kept a close eye on my mileage. When I got the tires I did the homework. So through. I originally had tires smaller than what the computer was calibrated for, so the increase isn't as large as the tire calculators thought. So I adjusted for that then realized my 33" tires only measure 32.4" so i also adjusted for that. I am 2.7mph above what my stock speedo reads. I multiply my trip miles times 1.033 to adjust for my tires then punch that result into fuelly. What I don't get is why fuelly insist I make an average of 19mpg when I have never gotten in my last 3 fuel ups above 17.6mpg. I mean a 17.6, 16.2, and a 15.1 don't average 19, unless I am all screwed up.

 I think fuelly screwed up on the average. your 3 fill ups total 48.9 then divide that by 3 = 16.3 should be your average. I checked the math on my fuelly and it's right where it should be.

The only thing I can see is on my 11 fill up's the first input was "0" cause it has nothing to base itself from until the 2nd fill up. On yours it has an mpg on the 1st time??

Entered all my info the other day but forgot to adjust for larger tires. Doing it now...

Actually, I'm not quite sure how I would do that with Fuelly since it doesn't have a spot for actual mileage.

Question... Is there any way to calibrate the Speedo/ odometer for the tires? After my stock tires take a crap, I wanna upsize

Strange.. when I go to add fuel ups, it lets me input the odometer. I gave up on the trip meter for mileage tracking because they do not need it

I have 20's & did not adjust for the tires. But I also drive 80-85mph(with the flow of traffic) on the highway to & from work.

I believe the dealer service dept can do that. However, I'm sure they charge an arm and a leg. What I normally do is calculate the difference. For example, in going from 245/75/16 to 265/75/16 the difference is 1.033 larger so I muliply that by the amount of miles traveled. Fuelly doesn't seem to allow that, though. I also use MPGTune.com which does allow you to put in "miles driven" instead of the odometer reading.

I believe that Hypertech has a calibrator for our truck, dont know what they cost though.

Not sure if I have read wrong but you can change fuelly from odometer reading to miles driven, or vise verse.

When I make my tire corrections I do it myself before hand, as in however many miles my odom shows I then multiply by that and add that number to fuelly.

Oh and my little thing in my sig is way wrong but on my home page on fuelly it is correct. 16.3, I'll see if it adjust after my next fuel up.

For those that are interested here is how you get your correction value.

    * Take the stock tires Circ. and divide it into the Aftermarket larger tire's Circ. that will be your the number you multiply into the miles on your odometer.

Example: 245/75/16 30.6" Tall.Circ= 95.7 Factory tires size our trucks are calibrated for. This is important because they are known for sometimes coming with smaller tires. Although still calibrated for this tire size.
After market Tire 285/70/17 33" tire which actually measures 32.7" Tall. Circ=102.8

102.8/95.7=1.074 Now take your mileage of 321x1.074= actual miles driven 344.8
