Big change for sure! Haha another planet almost.

Love it here though. I don't miss snowbird season or my shirt sticking to my back on Christmas Day lol. Born and raised on the gulf coast myself.

Sweet we'll figure something out before then.

CV axles should be here today or tomorrow and Fugly will be ready to rumble.

    Fugly lives on :goingcrazy:

After a few shakedown runs, Fugly and friends embarked on the first maiden voyage. Met up with fellow Wyoming TWer @Blackdawg for a rip through the Big Horns.

Stoked to have him back up and pounding the dirt again!

I really enjoy this pic as well. Glad Monte was able to get his camera back and recover all the photos from the day! It's always cool to see your truck from another perspective.

Well my 33" KM2's were about trashed, and I just couldn't resist the temptation of hacking the shit out of my truck. So 35's happened...

[IMG]IMG_5193 by Joshua Shipps, on Flickr

[IMG]IMG_5192 by Joshua Shipps, on Flickr

There's a few pretty good writeups on the interwebz already for this hackjob, but I'll go through the process briefly.

    Pull the fender, obviously.

    Pull the coilovers out.

Pull the carpet and undo the wiring that's behind the kick panel on the interior.

PRO TIP: Leave your truck dirty as hell to ensure you get plenty of dirt and shit in your eyes when taking it apart.

[IMG]IMG_5202 by Joshua Shipps, on Flickr

You can kinda see the line we drew up to give a rough outline, but it will likely change when you start cycling the suspension and turning the wheel.

The area where the pinch weld is at has a few layers we just went slow and cut through them little by little. I did all of this with an angle grinder, I used a sawzall for about 30 seconds and didn't like it. Went back to the angle grinder.

PRO TIP #2: Wear a full face shield. Just safety glasses aren't going to save your cheek from catching half a cutting disc that decided to come uncunted at 12,000 RPM's

[IMG]IMG_5203 by Joshua Shipps, on Flickr

Before you know it, you'll have a big gaping hole in your floorboards!

[IMG]IMG_5204 by Joshua Shipps, on Flickr

[IMG]IMG_5206 by Joshua Shipps, on Flickr

[IMG]IMG_5208 by Joshua Shipps, on Flickr

We ended up tracing a rough outline onto some cardboard and then tracing that onto a sheet of steel and then cut with a plasma cutter. I left an extra inch or so of material around the edges so we had some metal to work with when tacking and hammering it in. I put my blacksmithing skills to the test and used a hammer and anvil to form the piece into somewhat of an arch. At least got it close enough to where one could push on the piece while the other tacks it on.

[IMG]IMG_5225 by Joshua Shipps, on Flickr

Got the interior put back together and called it good.

All that's left to do at this point is take a poser shot. Well deserved after all the work.

[IMG]IMG_5251 by Joshua Shipps, on Flickr

I broke them in this afternoon in some nasty wet snow that's starting to melt off in our mountains. Aired down to 15lbs and they kick major ass. HUGE improvement over my KM2's that were about trashed. The extra meat certainly seems to help along with the tread on the STT Pros.

Overall: 10/10. Good mod. Would hack the shit out of it again.

OP got a much needed update.

I'm happy with how it turned out, I have a buddy who has done a couple tub jobs on some cars which helped a lot. I just went to town with the grinder and pounded some metal. He did all the welding for me and gave me a helping hand.
