Some weird stuff going on here. Seems like brute force answered questions no one was asking. Their bumpers aren’t bad at all. The sliders seem like a dumb idea, but I’m just an artist not an engineer so take that opinion as such. The bed cage seems a bit excessive as well. Like they were going for most weight and unintended head strikes

Kick out sliders like this seem strange. You’d think you want the push outward to be smooth. Having the butted pipe just seems like as it slides it’ll just pinball you outward.

It was just something I wanted in case I really mess one up I wanted to be able to remove it easily my choice. I'm sure I'll test out the breaking points of them down the road at some point. There are 16 grade 8 bolts on each side holding them on. I'm sure they are plenty strong.

I'm honestly not sure what you are talking about with the sliders with regards to the kick out. The bedcage is heavier than most but I didn't care for the over the rail cages. I liked that this cage is mounted to the frame through the bed bolts. My thought was if I go offroad a lot then why take the chance of having something mounted to the bed rails for years. Even with bed stiffeners I still didn't want to take the chance. Again just a personal preference.

again i just draw and make pictures for a living and not what you do so opinions are just that, dont take anything i say with too much weight. In reference to the sliders see the different here. Using the pelfrey as an example they push the truck out gradually over a long distance where yours look like they would kick the truck out in the opposite direction. My thinking is the more gradual push is more predictable whereas yours would but a abrupt kick outward. artist not engineer. I cant weld or fab so more props to you for doing what you wanted, i only have paying bills as a skill on my truck.

The kick out design like in brute force and other (like my 4x innovation) sliders is that you use that kick out as a pivot point if you're hung up against a tree. Our trails here in WA are narrow and filled with trees and roots so a slider with a kick out design like this was my first mod.

I see what you mean now. I'm not sure why they make there's like that. I don't see it being much of a problem though. The angle of that picture make the transition look pretty drastic when in all reality its not much at all. The picture where your looking at them from the front you can kinda see how small the transition is. I see what your saying though.

I was talking with the owner, Billy, and asked the same question about it being weaker. He said he tested it with a fork lift and got less movement from the weld-on/bolt-on sliders than just a traditional weld on slider. He thinks it is because the arm attaching the slider to the frame is two short pieces held together at a very solid joint as opposed to one longer arm which will have more leverage and therefore more flex. It makes sense to me.

OMG I like it!! This shop is about 30min away from me. I had no idea they even existed so thanks to searching for some sliders and a bumper I found this shop on TW. I have a 3rd Gen so hopefully they have bumpers available! Did your sliders come powdercoated? I do not see that as an option on the Brute Force website.

So here is the new Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, and Bed Cage Mounts. I still have some work to do wire up a few things get the lights installed in the rear bumper. I recently had eye surgery so I'm waiting on it to heal before messing around with the truck. I wanted to get a swing out so I sold the old bumper and got the swing out same with the front I wanted something a little different I like Billys new style front bumpers. Oh I also have to get the backup camera mount installed on the swing out. All in all very happy with the build. Everyone kept giving me shit about the chrome grill so I bought a cheap one online and replaced it. Everything should be easy to install and wire up. I did the full OME Heavy lift and tossed on some 255/85 toyo's. You can get everything powder coated just talk to Billy. I have some different sliders on my truck they are weld on bolt on. So mounts welded to frame and 16 grade 8 bolts per side hold the sliders to the mounts. I wanted the ability to be able to pull them off easily just something I wanted. I also mounted fishing rod holders under the roof top tent on the bed rack. Its worked amazing.

OP, thank you for taking the time to post the detailed pictures. Really helps people like me who know nothing but are trying to learn. I especially like the design of the bed rack. To my knowledge, the only two bed racks that attach to the truck bed -- as opposed to the bed rails / sides -- are Brute Force and Leitner. I am trying to decide between those two. Your pictures really help !

Weld on bolt on! Nice! I like that idea. You get the strength of the welded version, and the ability to remove them for repairs/repaint/replace if you damage them. You could even take them off and sell them down the road if you needed or wanted to

If anyone needs more detailed pics of anything let me know i'm down for the count for a few days so i can take whatever. This is the link to that grille. Its just a basic grille easy to install and it didn't cost much. For some reason I can not post the link. Anyone know any reason why i would not be able to post the link

I don’t want to be rude, but how is the rear bumper “high clearance”. It looks the same height.

They aren't the same height its close but not quite. It also moves the hitch into the bumper so its not hanging down below the bumper. It is also made to protect the rear fenders in case you come down on an object like a rock, stump, ect.

Do you mind taking a picture of how it’s reinforced behind the wheel. This is my main concern right now looking for a rear bumper. My spare tire and hitch keep taking the blunt force after coming off a big bump. I know any day now my exhaust will break off.
