I also had the serious rasp problem. We ended up testing about 10 different muffler and pipe diameter settings before I found the combo I an running. I have 2 magnaflow inline 10 and 13". That will help!

If it's too loud for you, I will buy the Y pipe. Pm me if you ever decide to sell

Basically you moved your engines power curve to where its power is going to be from mid range to top end. I would add some high flow cats to help with noise and low end power a little.

Thanks guys... I'm gonna try and work with the long tubes and the URD y-pipe bc I just installed them and would hate to pull them back out. I pulled the trigger on a Vibrant resonator (thanks TacoSupreem) and a Magnaflow muffler. Will definitely keep everyone posted once I get them installed and with video before/after hopefully.

heres long tubes, urd y pipe, and the new urd mk2 catback. i have a nasty leak at the y pipe/cat back flange but have v-bands waiting to get welded in. This setup sounds incredible even with the hissing from the leak.

I've received the Magnaflow muffler and resonator but have to go out of town for work so I won't be able to get them installed until the week of Aug 1st...

hey OP i made the same mistake you did. i went true dual from my dtlt's all the way out. kept my pipes stock size at 2.25 with no cats and the wf 13's and it was super raspy but was amazing top end obviously. def lost low end. after about 4 months i took the wf's off and just slapped a set of dual chambered flowmaster knockoffs and it sounds much better. also added in 2 sets of resonators and dumped it just before the axle. lost most of the top end gain that i had but thats the lesser of the two evils  i dynoed after i went with the dual chambered mufflers and got 223 hp and 254 tq...still wish i wouldve dyno'ed when i had the wf's on it though

^^Understood. Yeah I should be getting my Magnaflow and resonator installed beginning of next week and will still take videos before/after and post the results for everyone...

Update: Magnaflow and Vibrant resonator installed and is seriously MUCH quieter with very very little rasp (only at higher rpm's but not during normal driving). Unfortunately, I was not able to get a before video of the set up with Wicked Flow muffler but it was a very aggressive set up full of rasp above 2-2,200 rpm. The sound is very subtle now and will try to get a sound clip of it today/tomorrow after work.

Thanks again to TW for all the help.

Good to know. I just bought a URD Y pipe to play with, and even with the 10 and 13" back to back Magnaflows it was still a little loud.

Glad you were able to figure out how to quiet it. Looking forward to the clips.

My stock pipe went back on yesterday, so my URD Y is up for sale in the classifieds

Looking forward to your sound clips... I have been considering the URD catback exhaust and was going to add the DT headers next year with a Y pipe... I may reconsider since I dont want that loud but looking to have a deep tone more throaty sound.
