You guys know any good places to source a full bolt on exhaust from the manifold back? Long story short, local muffler shop did a crap job welding a new muffler on resulting in a hanger breaking off, then the muffler broke off as well and also broke the manifold… smh

Looking to just replace the manifold with mini headers, every single pipe following that considering the cat that’s welded to the front pipe is also bad and I have no welding skills or access to a welder.

Having a hard time finding the correct pieces and at a reasonable price… oem Toyota front pipe/ cat assembly is $1000+

what do you guys recommend ?

I went with Walker for the inter pipe and tail muffler because it was drop in place with the preinstalled hangers...
went generic on the stainless headers and JC Whitney cat.....

Ordered the Walker two pieces thru Advance auto.....ship to home only.....

Still had to have local shop weld all up....took 20 min...charged me a c-note

I also have a 90 Mustang 350 hp and I can never understand how come my Tacoma gets more respect Just got a 99 Jeep TJ that I rebuilt, and painted in the garage
Just like the others said go with Walker. Proven product over time

Have you asked that shop to reimburse you or fix their work? You might be able to find a used setup for next to nothing, if you don't live in a rust area then it should be usable.

I haven’t , I have no proof they did it. I didn’t keep the receipts/ records of them doing the work and its been almost a year since. I’m still going to give them a call and see what they say about it. Doubt they will fix it for me but I’ll try.

Just be nice about it and see what happens. If it goes bad you can take them to the B.A.R. and they will get it taken care of. Either way, the burden is on them to make it right. Good luck!

Run and they keep doing this to people, if they get a visit from the BAR he will get it repaired or refunded.

Give the shop a chance to make things right, as of now it sounds like the shop has no idea what happened. Maybe they hired a new guy and fired him the same week.

yeah mines the cast one, I was going to upgrade to the steel mini header from the 01-04 but I’m having a super hard time finding a used one locally. All of the options I see online are $300+ not including the $87 heat shield.

Then the exhaust on top will be a good bit over what I can spend right now unfortunately. Hopefully I can find a decent one off a junkyard truck sometime this week. I’m without a ride right now because of this lol

If your close to me I should be able to make something for an Exhaust till the budget improves

    Can`t help with the manifold.

The bad part is waiting a year it seems so many just get in the truck and leave never inspect the work you paid good money to have done..

remember there is a difference between the 4cyl and 6cyl versions so make sure to get the correct one.

as long as you get/find/fix the header Walker has all the other pieces to bolt up (unless the long tube header for 4cyl)

Walker for oem likeness. Reasonable priced and quality is alright. Dealer is best but prices are beyond what i will pay.

My O.E. exhaust lasted 21 years, my Walker S.S. is in 1 year and sounds good and it’s holding up well. Can’t beat the price.
