Hey guys I'm new here on the forums and I had a couple of questions. I don't know too much about cars and how to work on them but I want my truck to sound bad ass and get some more HP so I figured doing a whole exhaust system. I was thinking of doing some Long Tube Headers, and the Flowmaster American Thunder system and get it down piped. Is there anything else I should get or anything additional I need to buy. Any suggestions help, also I have $1650 to spend. I'm not worried about the installation fees because I have a buddy who will do it for free. Thanks!

    Some stuff...
I just went with the TRD exhaust when I ordered my truck, installed at the factory. I think it sounds great - not too loud and just enough rumble to know it's there.

wont notice much HP gains.. the long tubes will add a slight rasp to the sound. flowmaster is... meh. its all personal preference tho.

i got long tube headers with a magnaflow racing series muffler but i also have straight pipes. i love the sound but Moose1988 is right about the rasp from long tube headers, but i dont notice it much unless im are at high rpms
